Core 4 Overview
The Core Research Programmes of Mobile VCE are undertaken on behalf of all members and funded from their subscriptions and governmental research grants.
The overall programme objective is the innovation of concepts, approaches & technology that our Industrial Members can draw upon, individually or jointly, to facilitate new products, services & applications, to generate added value for their companies.
Programme Structure
The Core 4 research programme comprises three strategic research areas, each with a key objective and specific research activities or projects associated with it, as detailed below. Each area is managed by an Industry Steering Group, comprising technical staff from our Member Companies, supported by our Academic Members. Each Steering Group is chaired by one of our Industrial Members.
The programme involves about 140 man-years of research effort over a three and a half year period. The programme is structured into three work areas
